Sept 2026: SignIn - Masked auto-fill for visitor sign-in

A shared kiosk in a reception area is exactly the kind of place personal data shouldn't linger on screen. Masked Auto-Fill hides a returning visitor's phone number and email by default.

What it is and why it matters

Previously, auto-fill showed a returning visitor's phone and email in full on the kiosk; a screen the next visitor could easily see. A new setting masks these values by default (e.g. 07*******0), with a "Change" option if details need updating.

How it works at a high level

Enabled under Sign In > Settings > Sign-in Options, off by default. Masking happens before data reaches the browser, so real values are never exposed on screen — though they're still used correctly behind the scenes for identifying visitors and triggering alerts.

Best practice tips

  • Enable it on any kiosk visible to people other than the visitor signing in.

  • Let reception staff know visitors can still correct a masked number via "Change."
