Apr 2026: CMS - Autosave for item authoring in the CMS

In-progress text changes in supported item fields can now be autosaved in the background.

Users can recover autosaved draft content after interruptions such as refreshes, browser closure or session timeout. 

The editor now provides save-state feedback so users can see when draft progress has been autosaved. 

Why this matters:

  • Reduces the risk of losing work while creating or editing content.

  • Gives users more confidence when working in stop-start conditions.

  • Helps teams recover draft progress without unintentionally changing live content.
